Ingredients:

  • Rice – 4 cups
  • Onion – Medium size 8
  • Chicken 1 and half
  • Garlic – 1 and Half bulbs
  • Ginger – Medium size
  • Green chilies – up to taste
  • Salt – up to taste
  • Lemon – 1 and half
  • Non crushed Black chili – 10
  • Clove – 4
  • Cinnamon – 2 pieces
  • Cardamom – 2 to 3
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Red chili – as per taste
  • Turmeric – 1 tsp
  • Yogurt – 510 g

Procedure:

Step # 01

Soak four cups of rice in water for about 20 minutes.

 

Step # 02

Slice the onions and put it on flame in oil until it becomes golden brown. Then take out the onions from the oil in a dish.

Step # 03

Grind and make the paste of garlic, ginger and green chilies as shown in picture. Also grind the fried golden brown onions when it becomes little crispy.

Add the ingredients in yogurt as shown in image below along with red chili and salt as per your taste. Remember that the taste of salt and chili should be little more then normal. It will adds more taste and become normal when cooked with rice.

Step # 04

Add Chicken in it. Also add 3 to 4 tbsp of oil in which you fried the onions. The marinated chicken will look like this.

Step # 05

Pour the extra oil of fried onions from stew pan in to the bowl and add the marinated mixture in it.

Step # 06

Now add the 80% boiled rice on the marinated mixture. Pour atleast 6 tbsp of same onion fried oil on it and give some yellow color to add sparkles in your biryani.

Now tightly close the stew pan and place it on low to medium flame for about 20 minutes and then extra low flame for about 40 minutes.

After 40 minutes open the stew pan and see if the chicken under the rice is ready or not. If it is not then place it under low flame again for about 5 minutes. Now your delicious biryani is ready to serve.
